TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. – Families with young children ages birth-5 are invited to a series of free family concerts with singer/songwriter Miriam Pico and interactive storyteller Jen Strauss during the month of June.

Each event is hosted by the Great Start Collaborative of Traverse Bay in partnership with Northwest Education Services (North Ed) at locations in Antrim, Benzie and Leelanau counties.

These fun-filled interactive events provide welcoming community spaces for families to connect, meet new friends and listen to music and storytelling that appeals to all ages.

  • Wednesday, June 17 – 11 a.m. - Noon | Benzie County

The Great Start Collaborative brings together local partners and parents to strengthen early childhood systems and advocate for meaningful community change. With a shared commitment to ensuring every child has a great start in life and an equitable opportunity to reach their full potential, the Collaborative works to identify community strengths and needs, align resources, raise awareness and support strategies that improve outcomes for young children and their families.

Participation in the Collaborative is open to parents, caregivers, early childhood professionals, community organizations and other local partners who want to help build a stronger, more connected early childhood system.
