About

Transition Campus serves eligible students ages 18-26 across all disabilities.  All students participate in programs focused on teaching transition skills in areas of recreation and leisure, employability, independent living skills, community participation, and social emotional learning. We are located at various spots in the community.

Mission: Our mission is to provide each student with positive learning experiences in school and community settings that promote the growth of transition skills and foster self-advocacy so each student can achieve their highest level of independence.

Transition Services

North Ed offers two activities to supplement the transition services offered by local district high schools and Transition Campus:

  • Work Experience: a type of work-based learning for students to gain valuable hands-on skills within the community setting. A North Ed job coach and up to three students are assigned a job site within the community.

  • Community Connection: a one semester class offered at North Ed on Transition Campus for current high school seniors. The class offers students experiential learning related to community awareness, employability, independent living skills, recreation and leisure, and social emotional learning.
