TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. – Families with young children ages 0-5 are invited to a series of free events during the month of March.
Each event is hosted by the Great Start Collaborative and Great Start Family Coalition in partnership with Northwest Education Services, hosted at local Neighborhood Network playgroup sites in Antrim, Benzie, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska and Leelanau counties.
Each fun-filled event features interactive storytelling with Jen Strauss and provides a welcoming community space for families to connect, meet new friends and enjoy playgroup activities, snacks and a craft project designed for young creative guests. Each family will receive a book bag from PoWeR Book Bags.

The Great Start Family Coalition is a community of parents and caregivers dedicated to enhancing early childhood experiences. With a mission to ensure that every child has a great start in life and equitable opportunity to achieve their highest potential, the coalition meets regularly to learn from each other, raise awareness about the importance of early childhood and provide resources and educational opportunities to families with young children. Participation is open to all.
