Writers Studio

Students who crave the written word thrive in Writers Studio as they develop creative and professional writing skills that will be helpful in any career. Various writing styles will be taught and practiced, with lessons by professional writers. Students will have opportunities to publish, perform, and produce in an environment of supportive peers.

SETTING STUDENTS UP FOR SUCCESS

Students write in several genres, give and receive feedback, conduct investigative research, and meet guest speakers. Co-op and work experiences are available for second-year students.

LEADERSHIP and SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Students have a variety of scholarship, writing competition, and publishing opportunities, including Young Playwrights Festival and National Writers Series scholarship competitions. Students can lead through the  National Technical Honor Society or Student Council.
